Obituary For Rafaela Helen Alexander
Rafaela Franco was born April 26, 1926 in Oakland, California to Ramon & Luz Montoya Franco, she was 1 of 6 children.
She worked at a defense plant in Alameda, CA during W.W.II. She also worked for many years at a box factory where she met and married the love of her life, Jerry Alexander within 3 weeks of meeting him. They moved to Newark, CA, bought a house and raised two children there. They were married for 28 years before his passing. Rafaela has 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She worked as a school monitor while her kids were growing up. Later in life she worked at Atari and Apple Computer. Rafaela moved to Oceanside 2 years ago where she lived with her granddaughter. She enjoyed watching baseball and football games. Rafaela played softball in a women’s league until the age of 50. She also enjoyed working on puzzles and tinkering with items.
