Obituary For Rayona Elizabeth Barry

Rayona Barry passed away peacefully on March 17, 2014. She was born to Ray and Josephine Stevenson in Vallejo, CA on March 25, 1921.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Barry, and her son, Joel Notter. She is survived by her children, Daniel Notter and his wife, Diane; Mary Mahns and her husband, Hank; John Castro and his wife, Jeri; Matt Barry; Linda Parvis and her husband, Jack. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Cindy, Cathleen, Henry, Evan, John, Kelly, Justine, Janelle, Joey and Joelle.

Rayona will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who lived life to its fullest and who was often seen dancing and singing with her husband John at the local senior centers and Elks Lodge. She loved to dance, sing, read, travel, knit, swim and discuss history and current events. Her favorite travel spot was Maui, Hawaii.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Landmark Villa Senior Residential Living, 21000 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94541.
