Obituary For Richard C. Anderson
Richard, longtime resident of Fremont, dedicated and cherished husband, dad and grandpa, passed away unexpectedly May 9, 2018.
Richard was born in Santa Monica on October 11, 1951. He spent his childhood in Culver City, CA. As a young man he was passionate in sports and sailing. In 1974, he married his lifelong love, Joann. Together, they settled in Fremont and raised a family. Richard worked hard to provide for all that his family needed. His career spanned from manufacturing business signs, cement pipe (Ameron), fertilizers (Sierra/Scotts), and plumbing supplies (Oatey). He enjoyed his travels to Hawaii with his friends, following Bay Area sports, trips to Arizona, puzzles, golf and time spent with family.
We will all miss his smile, laugh, patience, kindness, hopeful outlook to the future and loving spirit. Richard leaves behind his wife, Joann, son Matthew, daughter Sarah, daughter in law April, and granddaughters, Violet and Rose.
A celebration of life will be held on June 16th, 11:30 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Memorial gifts can be made in Richard’s name to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 38801 Blacow Rd, Fremont.
