Obituary For Robert "Bob" Moss

Robert Moss died at home on Thursday, February 16. He was 94 years old. He is survived by his two children, Laura and Mike, and two grandchildren.

Bob, the "lovable curmudgeon," was best known in the community for his post-retirement work in Community Theater.

He grew up on Long Island, NY, served in the army, and graduated from Ithaca College. He moved to California to pursue his passion for theater at UCLA. To pay the bills, he began working for DiSalvo Trucking Company and moved to Fremont with his wife Aloysia and two children in 1978.

Bob retired in 1993 and began his second and best-loved "career," performing. He sang with the New Harmony Singers and played piano for and acted in countless shows with Stage 1 and Broadway West. He was recognized for both his comic and dramatic acting into his eighties. Listening to him play the piano was always a treat for friends and family.

He will be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.

Bob was a great pianist and character actor, as well as friend. Spent many pleasant lunches with him and Loy.
