Obituary For Robert Delos Grate Sr.
Robert Delos Grate Sr., 91, of Fremont, CA passed away at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by he beloved wife, Virginia; daughter, Julie Smith of Lake Stevens, WA; daughter, Eloise Torres (Lalo) of Phoenix, AZ; son, Bob Grate Jr. (Debbie) of Greenville, CA; daughter, Donna Bowman (Larry) of Marysville, WA and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob Grate was preceded in death by his mother and father; and brothers, Lynn and Bill.
He was born June 10, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Lynn and Iva Grate. On December 14, 1945 he married Virginia Van Winkle, his Angel, the love of his life. He was a veteran of WWII.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 10am with a Chapel Service at 11am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial to follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery.
