Passed away peacefully, Thursday, at the age of 89. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Eva Heiney; son Robert L. Heiney (Janet); daughters Madeleine Wulbers (Donald), Kathleen Miller (George); grandchildren Kyle Wulbers, Michael Miller, Kristine Yau, Kimberly Miller, Robert Heiney , Jessica Enriquez and great-grandson Toby Yau.

Bob was born in San Francisco Oct 18th 1922. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. A carpenter by trade, Bob began his career with the federal government in 1950, after working in private industry, and retired from the Engineering Department of Navy Public Works, San Francisco Bay in 1979.

Bob moved his family to Newark in 1964 and enjoyed participating in community activities and organizations throughout the years; Boy Scout Troop 186, Elks Lodge 2121, VFW Post 1917 and SIRs. Above all, Bob was devoted to and cherished spending time with his family. He will always live on in our hearts.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, from 5-8pm with a Chapel Service at 7pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Interment will be private at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
