I remember Bob to this day as a great guy with a sense of humor. I hung with his son David at the Village Church of Hayward back in the late sixties, early seventies. I enjoyed his stories about computers when me and my folks went over their house for deserts after Sunday evening services a few times. GREAT GUY. I know he had a big, positive impact on the world.

I remember Bob from his round dance cueing days in Fremont. After he moved I would only see him at the round dance weekend in Willows. In the last few years Jan and Bob would come to the dance in Willows on Saturday and he looked so happy to be dancing a few rounds with Jan. When I told him Hi and how glad I was to see him he would give me a big smile and a warm hug. We will all miss him.

My memories of Mr. Rice are that he was a great man to help with outings for Village Church youth group. He would volunteer his time to camping trips, which included using his boat. I learned how to water ski on Britton Lake near Burney Falls California.

We met Bob through ham radio. He would camp out on Field Day up in Hat Creek, Ca. Bob would stay up late and we would watch for satellites in the night sky. He was such a nice man. He spoke highly of his family . He is missed. RIP Bob.

Bob was the best guy to live next door too for the past 20 years, would always come give me helping hand, a kind word over the back fence, I would bake extra cookies and have Hannah run them over , she would always say Mom, Bobs real happy now loved his cookies.
