Robert “Rod” Rucker was born on November 11, 1946 in Atascadero, CA and en­tered into rest on September 4, 2015 in Fremont, at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Tia Rucker; beloved daugh­ters Tina Rucker Carpenter and Katherine Rucker Archibald; 10 grandchil­dren and 1 great-grandson; his caring mother, Cecilia Rucker; 2 brothers, Ron Rucker and Gary Rucker; and 1 sister-in-law, Warn Noxuntia.

Rod was a hard-work­ing, family man who recently retired for the second time. He enjoyed world travel, scu­ba diving and volunteered with the U.S. Coast Guard. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force with two tours to Vietnam during the war.

There will be a Memorial Service at 11am on Thursday, September 10th at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
