Obituary For Roger Don Wilkerson

Entered into rest on January 12, 2013 in Fremont, CA at the age of 68. Survived by his wife Beverley; his beloved daughters: Leslie Smiley and her husband Rob, and Marley Emery and her husband Shea; and 5 adoring grandchildren: Bella, Brooklyn, Mayce, Renner, and Dallas.

Born on November 27, 1944 in Crossett, AR to Ray D. "Dub" and Claudia Wilkerson, Don was the eldest brother to Raye, Danny, and Ricky. Don was a resident of Fremont for 54 years. He graduated from Washington High School in 1962. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1966-1968. Don was self employed at Don's Precision Spinning in Fremont. He enjoyed 48 years in the metal spinning industry. He was well respected by his peers for his expertise and knowledge in the field. He was an avid outdoors-man and enjoyed restoring his classic cars. He was a special person and a man of principle. He will be missed by his family and host of wonderful friends who remember him with love and respect.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Don on Saturday, January 26, 2pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Don to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or to the charity of your choice.

    So sad to say goodbye to Don so soon. He was an old friend and a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. My love and prayers go out to Bev and his beautiful family. God bless you.
