My name is Romano "Ron" Vincenzi as well. I was fortunate to be one of his many nephews. I've known Uncle Ron since the mid fifties when we immigrated here from Italy. We lived on Octavia Street in San Francisco in a 3 story flat. He and his family on the second floor while my family lived on the first floor. I have such great memories of him during those years. He was a teenager and I was just a young boy. I remember going to watch him play baseball and basketball for Galileo High School. He was a tremendous athlete which later in life translated into being a great golfer. I even caddied for him a couple of years in the annual San Francisco Armature Golf Tournament at Harding Park which he won once.
I had the opportunity to talk to him many times over the last year and a half and about a month ago I was able to pay him a visit at his home. Even though he wasn't doing well we had a great conversation for a couple of hours. As usual he was fully up to date with anything that was happening in the sports world. He seemed to me he was at peace with his situation and was grateful for the wonderful life he had lived. I will always cherish that last visit as a wonderful memory that will live with me forever.
Rest in peace Uncle Ron and hit them straight !

I had the pleasure of working with Ron for many years. I learned a lot from him, we would always take the time to answer my questions and most importantly he was FUN and would make you laugh.

I worked with Ron for 20 years. We hit it off immediately. We were both passionate about salame and golf. We were both Italian that topped it all.
After knowing Ron for about 6 months, I had to confess to him that I was half Portuguese.
He looked at me and said " I always knew there was something with you."
We laughed and carried on as normal.
Hit 'em straight up there, Ron.
