Ronald Anthony Malfatti was born to Ronald William and Sandra Rosemarie Malfatti on August 12, 1971. Ronnie became a big brother in 1977 when his sister, Gina was born. At the age of 14, Ronnie battled his first bout of brain cancer and overcame two brain surgeries and radiation. He went on to live a normal life and finished school at Washington High. He pursued his AA degree at Ohlone college.

He loved sports, especially his beloved Raiders and cheered them on at many home games in Oakland. He was an avid LA Dodgers and LA Lakers fan. Ronnie enjoyed camping, boating, BBQing and hanging out with friends and family. He loved his dogs and was very proud of his Italian heritage.

He worked at Lucky where he made many life-long friends. In 2001 Ronnie became a father. His greatest gift in life was his daughter, Jalena. Ronnie had the privilege of walking her down the aisle as she married her husband Jacob Eccles last September.

Ronnie’s second battle with brain cancer began in March of 2025. He courageously endured yet another brain surgery. He was diagnosed with a glioblastoma and quickly decompensated. With a heart full of love, Ronnie entered the gates of heaven joining his father, Ron, on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Ronnie is survived by his mother Sandy, daughter Jalena, son-in-law Jacob, sister Gina, nephew Gabriel, and many other family and friends. He left behind a legacy of laughter, compassion and kindness. He will always be remembered for his spirit of togetherness and the love of his daughter.
