Ronald Lee Cortez August 24, 1948 – April 7, 2017 Resident of Woodland
Born on August 24th, 1948 in Alameda, CA, and entered into rest on April 7th, 2017 in Elk Grove, CA at the age of 68. Predeceased by his wife Gloria J. Cortez in 1990. Survived by his wife LaDonna Williams of Woodland; children: Ronnie Jr. and Nicole of San Jose, Apryl and Jim Nazer of Danville, Michael and April Sellers of El Dorado Hills, and Jonna and Scott Filau of Sacramento; brother Fred Lopez of Fremont; sister Nicole Scanlon-Lodato of Castro Valley; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald was a past member of Lightning Rods Car Club. He graduated from Newark High School in 1967. He was a past member at St. Edward's Church where he was an altar boy years ago.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12th, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, April 13th, 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
