Obituary For Ronald Max Sterbenk
Ronald was born on August 20, 1930 in Oakland, CA, and entered into rest on January 6, 2019 in his home, in Fremont, at the age of 88. Ronald is survived by his children Juanita Epps (Jeff), Theresa Nogueira (John), Diane Lagau, Noreen Wernsing (Mike), Gina Dias and Kenneth Dias (Christina). 12 grandchildren; Daniel, David, Nicholas, Ethan, Jennifer, Monica, Brian, Laura, Alexa, Matthew, Roman, Gabriel and many great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Helen Sterbenk in 2017.
Ronald served in the Merchant Marines and worked at and Central Chevrolet over 30 years, retiring as their Service Manager. He loved his dogs over the years especially “Cody”.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont.

Ron - Although I will not be present to say good-bye, I have many fond teen-age memories spending time with you, Dee-Dee and your family. I must say you always left a smile on my face with your robust sense of humor and laugh. Although I was not sure if you particularly liked me at first while in high school, I later came to found out you really did love me as Diane's dearest friend & that you knew I would always be there for her anytime. You were a strong man and loved by your family; you were always surrounded by many friends and loved over the years. You will be missed ~ I say goodbye now but never forever. Danette McGrane
