Obituary For Segundo Mejia Garcia
Entered into rest on January 21, 2012 in Hayward at the age of 80. Devoted husband of 52 years to Evangelina Garcia. Beloved father of Irma Birkendahl, Jaime Garcia, Marta "Anna" Garcia, Everardo Garcia, Segundo Garcia, Jr., and Oscar Garcia. Grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 1. Cherished brother of Sara Perez, Fidela Ruvalcaba, and Evelia Morales. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born October 1, 1931 in Jalisco, MX, Segundo enjoyed gardening, loved mariachi music, and loved dancing.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 5-8pm with a vigil at 7pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C Street, Union City, CA 94587. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 27, 10am at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward.
