Obituaries

Born January 1st, 1965 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and entered into rest on January 27th, 2015 in Fremont, California at the age of 50. Preceded in death by his wife Janelle Hebb. Survived by his son: Jeremy Hebb; mother: Brenda Stout; father: Ronald Hebb and his wife Donna; mother and father-in-law: Jackie and Al Hughes; and brothers: Aaron Hebb, Kevin Hebb, Jason Hebb, and Matthew Hebb; and nieces and nephews: Adrienne Hebb, Jacob Hebb, Preston Hebb, Fiona Hebb, Kaitlyn Hebb, Amanda Hebb, and Kyle Hebb.

Stefan (or Steve/Stevie as he was known) moved from Nova Scotia to Sunnyvale when he was six months old with his family. Stefan was a warm, kindhearted person with a great sense of humor and trademark ponytail, who made friends wherever he went. He had a love of animals that he shared with his wife, Janelle, which extended to his menagerie of exotic reptiles. He enjoyed classic rock and heavy metal music, going to Sharks games whenever possible, and riding his bike as his primary means of transportation for most of his life. Stefan was a talented artist, both visually – drawing striking photorealistic portraits – and musically - playing his guitar along with his favorite songs. He was a huge fan of Star Wars, having seen the original film dozens of times in theaters during its initial release; collecting all the toys in his youth and dressing as a Stormtrooper for his son on Halloween as an adult. His lifelong passion for trains was unparalleled, spending hours visiting model railroad shows or watching the trains come in at the Santa Clara Depot. Stefan’s greatest love in life, however, was his family. He lived each day for the last ten years of his life for his beloved son, Jeremy.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Stefan’s life on Saturday, February 28 at 1:30pm at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church, 728 West Fremont Ave., Sunnyvale, CA 94087.
