Steven Bert Hinds died unexpectedly in Washington Hospital on January 16, 2025 in Fremont CA at the age of 50.

Steven is survived by his parents, William Bert Hinds and Deborah Suzanne Klein, his sister, Jacky Earp, his wife of 20 years, Janeth Hinds, his children, Janel Requilman, Criselle Vasquez, Haley Hinds, and Samuel Hinds, his son-in-law, Melvin Requilman, and his grandson, Ares Requilman. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Grover Hinds and Darlene Hinds.

Steven was born on June 13, 1974 to parents William and Deborah. He married Janeth Hinds, whom he fell in love with in Vegas during a New Year's party. Over their 20 years together, the couple welcomed four children into their home. His children remember him as a kind, driven, and an incredibly fun father. He worked as a supervisor for a beer distributor with the name of Golden Brands. Those who worked with him recount fond tales of how funny and spirited he was.

Steven was accomplished at a multitude of hobbies. Each year, he eagerly dove into a new topic or skill, passionately dedicating himself to mastering something new. The two talents his family will remember him most for was his cooking and passion for fishing. We’ll always fondly recount how he would take over dinner events or the prideful photos of fish he had caught.

A funeral is scheduled at 1:00pm to 4:00pm on February 8th 2025, at the Chapel of the Roses in Fremont CA. With a reception to follow at World Gourmet Buffet on Stevenson Blvd. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Steven’s life.
