Obituary For Vincent Anthony Troiano

Vincent Anthony Troiano, a lover of pasta, Montepulciano, beautiful suits, singing, music, history, sports, and hard work, entered peacefully into rest with his wife and children by his side on the 7th of December, 2022. He was 87.

A son of Italian immigrants, he was raised on great homemade Italian food in East Lansdowne near Philadelphia, with 2 older brothers. His brother, Paul, was his best friend. With two big brothers who were competitive wrestlers, Vince became adept at physical competition. As a child and young adult, he loved sports, music, history, and singing.

In high school, he performed vocal duets and sang in nightclubs in his 20s. Vince then had the opportunity to move out west to California, drawn by his dreams of wonderful weather.

Throughout his career, Vincent received numerous awards and accolades, including international, national, and "Best in the West" honors and exciting vacations to Puerto Rico and Hawaii.

Vincent really knew how to wear a tailored suit. He was known by his kids' friends as the Dad in the beautiful suits and loved to watch his children play sports and perform. From track to basketball, volleyball and softball, football, dance, cheer, guitar, singing, bowling, and pole vaulting.

Vince counted many of the Maitre D's of several great Bay Area restaurants as friends. They made his dinners with clients exceptional experiences. But Vince's favorite was dinner with his family when his Maitre D friends curated wonderful experiences with his wife and kids.

Vince's kids' favorite memories are: waking up to his beautiful singing voice, seeing him in the crowd at games, practices, and performances, tickle tortures, lunch dates, his "practice, practice, practice" and "trust your instincts" advice, letters after graduation, always staying in the room for stitches from any injuries, meals together, his thoughtful Valentines gifts, bringing surprises home for Mom, and going on "wild goose chases" in the car on the way home. On road trips with his family, he would sing the baseline of songs and always make everyone smile.

It brought Vince great joy to reconnect with family overseas and visit his father's homeland in Abruzzo, Italia, and his mother's family in La Spezia, Italia. He traveled to Normandy, France, where the beach was stormed, and to the Plazas de Toros in Spain, fulfilling a lifelong desire to visit those places.

Vincent loved sharing his favorite music and musicals with his family, including, more recently, his grandchildren. He was even able to share "Singing in the Rain" on the big screen for one of his birthdays with his name on the marquis.

Vincent is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Marie, children Vincent, Pauline, "Kristy" KristinaMaría, Paul Anthony, his grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
