Obituaries

Viola Muehling, of Newark, passed away on May 9, 2023 at the age of 90. She is survived by David Muehling (son), James Muehling (son), Arcele Thompson (sister), and Allene (Donna) Langenberg (sister). Preceding Viola’s death was her loving husband, Marvin Muehling, who died in 2015.

Viola was a long-time member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fremont, CA. She attended church almost every Sunday, except towards the end of her life. She enjoyed Bible studies at Prince of Peace and at friends’ homes. Viola loved her flowers and had many varieties in her garden. Viola was mostly a homemaker, and a great one at that! Known for her wonderful cooking talent, Viola loved having company. And the company loved her cooking!

Viola and her husband, Marvin, brought up their sons, David and Jim, in the nurture of God, the Bible, and of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Viola was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed the company of her husband and sons and was happy they walked the Christian life. Viola’s favorite Bible verse was: ISAIAH 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.

Mom, so many people will miss you! But we know you are now rejoicing in the presence of God and your Savior Jesus Christ!
