Obituary For Vivian Arlene Silva
Entered into rest on March 9, 2012 in Fremont at the age of 85. Predeceased by her husband George R. Silva in 1989. Beloved mother of George A. Silva of Cameron Park, Terry E. Empert of Santa Cruz, and Cory A. Ricks of Visalia. Grandmother of 7 and great-grandmother of 1. Dear sister of Cecil E. Griffith of Desert Hot Springs. Cherished niece and traveling companion of Frances Logsdon of Fremont.
Born August 15, 1926 in Berkeley, Vivian was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School. She was a foster mother from 1967-1979 for 65 pre-adopt foster children.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 12:30pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Lunch reception to follow.
