Obituaries

Entered into rest on January 5th, 2014 in Fremont at the age of 66. Husband of Nancy Ann Ward for 41 years before she passed in 2013. Father to Walter Vern Ward III of Rohnert Park, Robert Ward of Hayward. Brother in law to Ginger Williams of Fremont. Grandfather of Riley and William, both of Rohnert Park.

Born July 15th, 1947 in Oakland, California to Walter Vern Ward Sr. and Mary G. Ward. Served in our Military as a PFC in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1970, before making a career on the railroad with the Southern Pacific and retiring from Amtrak in 2010.

A Memorial Service will be held for Walter on Friday, January 17, 2pm at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
