Obituaries

Entered into rest on December 30, 2011 in Fremont at the age of 86. Loving husband of 38 years to Brenda Stout. Loving father to Steven Stout, and Cynthia Thorn. Caring step-father to Aaron Hebb and Julie Millington, Stefan Hebb, Kevin Hebb and Alicia, and Jason Hebb and Julia. Proud grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 5. Also survived by nieces Patricia Worden, and Susie Stout.

Born March 3, 1925 in Leavenworth, KS, William proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and during the Korean Conflict. He received his masters in social work from the University of Southern California. He then went on to work for Santa Clara County in family service and then in private practice for a total of 37 years. He was an avid reader and a gourmet cook who absolutely loved preparing delicious meals for his family. He enjoyed taking drives, basking in the world around him.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 21, from 12pm-4pm in the clubhouse at the Tropics Mobile Home Park, 33000 Almaden Blvd., Union City, CA 94587. Interment at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
