Bill Sullivant and I first started hanging out together in the 7th grade so we kind of grew up together. We became great friends and for many years that followed, we were a major part of each others’ lives. Whether on a road trip, bicycle backpacking, competing in archery, hiking the Sierras, fishing the Smith River or panning gold in the American River, we shared thousands of memorable adventures. And a million laughs. My life has been greatly enriched because Bill was, and will always be, my friend. Roger Whitson

I knew Bill for 25 years, meeting him in the old Product Engineering group. When I joined that group, Bill was being promoted, so I took over his bench and hand tools. I still remember him saying "Keep this bench and tools in good order - in case I ever need them again" 🙂 On my fist day at Sun, there was a group picnic up at Ed Levin Park, and I remember Bill immediately coming over and sitting down right across from me to chat me up. We both had things in common: an interest and love of the martial arts and being thorough in whatever we did in life. Bill, I will miss you my friend...

I've known Bill since the early Sun Microsystem years. Several times I've shared concert tickets with him. We've gone to a Blue Oyster Cult concert together in Livermore. It's been a pleasure knowing you Bill. Peace be with you. You will be missed.

Bill was an amazing Engineer. He was a mentor to his team and he was always professional and hard working. He worked on very complex servers that were leading edge. He is already very much missed by his colleagues and friends at work. Alison Armstrong, Product Line Director Operations, Oracle

Bill and I were great friends in high school and forever remained caring friends even though our lives took different directions. I will always hold on to all the wonderful memories we had. Thank you for our fabulous kids - Matt and Shannon. I am very sorry you had to leave us so young. You are greatly missed.... Love, Sue
