Born May 25, 1935 in Germany, and entered into rest on March 10, 2012 in Fremont at the age of 76. Beloved father of Barbara Castillo and her husband Mark of Fremont. Cherished grandfather of James Benson and his fiance Erin Bell of Fremont, Will Castillo and his fiance Mary Chisholm of Palo Alto, and Travis Castillo and his wife Monique of Mesa, AZ. Predeceased by his wife Erika Bothke, and by his son Thomas Bothke.

Wolfgang loved his family and friends. He enjoyed going to Swiss Park and playing board games with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 10am with a chapel service at 11am at Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
